Hotel room feeling

Hotel room feeling

As an avid traveller and travel industry professional, it’s no surprise Kim wanted to create a hotel room feeling in their bedroom. First order of business? The white walls had to go.

“I always hate to venture out looking for wall colours because they usually turn out different than you expect, but we really found what we were looking for with this olive green and I love the contrast with the oak. Because there is no space to put night tables, we decided to build a new wall that could double as a shelf, to put our favorite items and books on display. The night lights are concrete pendants that we use for late night reading. The tall wardrobes were already built in, but they had old fashioned door knobs. Looking for the perfect leather handles, I found out that these are very pricey. So I made these myself, and I’m honestly very happy with the result. The palm leaves create a luxurious feeling and I love to wake up to that view.”
