When we questioned Marieke about what makes this house a home, she referred to the amount of light that enters the building: “I feel instant happiness when I see the sun shining in the window.”

“Our house turned out exactly like we wanted it,” she continues. “Looking back on it, there are some things we would have done differently, but in general we are very happy with the way it turned out.”
