From London to Beijing to Tokyo

From London to Beijing to Tokyo

Philippe does not like the slowness of architecture. As it takes several years to see the result of a project, he needs a creative outlet. That’s why he’s very much into photography.

The framed photo in this picture is his winning entry of the Architect’s Eye Competition organized by the Architects Registration Board in London. It shows their good friends Xavier and Denise at their wedding venue in at the Water Reservoir Centre in Stoke Newington, London. The award ceremony happened to be the day before they were moving to Beijing, China. The price was a weekend trip somewhere in the European Union, however, since they were not going to be in the EU for a while, the ARB was kind enough to let them change the destination, and that is how they went to Tokyo for a long weekend.

As seen in the photo:
Cabinets: String
Plant pot: Ferm Living
Wall clock: Menu
