Marble obsession

Marble obsession

Philippe and Cristina founded One Team Architects in 2010, while they were living in China. Apart from their fulltime jobs, they take on their own projects from time to time. However, since their daughter was born, she became their main ‘project’.

When they bought their apartment, the building was still under construction, so they had the chance to change a few things here and there. There weren’t any building plans for the kitchen yet, but as they’re both architects, they didn’t found it hard to come up with a solution. After visiting the Bulthaup showroom in Brussels for a couple of months, they finalized the design. Crisina and Philippe have a thing for natural materials, which is why they chose a marble working top. The task lighting above the kitchen island is a wooden LED lamp, made of trees that were especially grown for this purpose in Amsterdam.
