Eliza liked the idea of having a black kitchen, to create a contrast with the bright and Scandinavian vibes she and her boyfriend love so much. Little did she know that a Pinterest-perfect idea might not work in real life…

Once installed, she immediately noticed she didn’t take the dark tiles and a lack of natural light into account, and has regretted her decision to opt for a black kitchen from day one. Her kitchen was literally a black box in a light home, and wasn’t very appealing to spend time in. Because life’s too short to worry about those things, Eliza took matters into her own hands and started another makeover project: painting the kitchen cabinets. She dreaded the job, but it turned out to be way easier than expected. It’s safe to say the kitchen gets so much more attention nowadays…
