The Magma Way

The Magma Way

When Charlotte and Fred bought the apartment, there were two areas that certainly needed a renovation: the kitchen and bathroom. In both rooms, the architects didn’t even consider keeping the original setup.

Because the original setup wasn’t exactly convenient and there was a lot of ‘wasted space’ (which happens when everything is built against the wall), the architects of Magma Architecten teared everything down and started from scratch. Both kitchen and bathroom aren’t the biggest rooms in the apartment, but by ‘centralizing’ everything they optically enlarged the space and made room for several sanitary fittings. The couple wanted their bathroom to have a shower, bath tub and two sinks – which the architects found impossible at first, but made it work by thinking outside the box. The result is a light-filled, functional and practical bathroom.
